Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using A Space, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. A Space is provided to students through their participating school, and use is also subject to that school's policies. If you do not agree, do not use the program.
2. Educational use only
A Space is an educational peer-support certification. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. The content is intended to build awareness and supportive-communication skills, not to provide diagnosis or treatment.
3. What certification means
Completing A Space indicates that a student finished the course and passed its assessments. It does not confer any clinical, counseling, or medical qualification, and it does not authorize a student to diagnose, treat, or act as a mental- health professional. Certified students are trained to recognize concerns and refer teammates to a trusted adult.
4. Accounts
Accounts are provided to students through their participating school using a school-issued email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Accounts may be managed, suspended, or removed by the supervising school.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use A Space respectfully and lawfully. You will not:
- Share your account or access the program on behalf of someone else
- Copy, redistribute, or resell course content without permission
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform
- Use the program to harass others or to misrepresent your qualifications
6. Safety and referral
Students must follow the program's safety and referral protocol. Student leaders must never promise confidentiality in a safety situation and must escalate concerns to a faculty advisor, coach, or school counselor. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline immediately.
7. Limitation of liability
A Space is provided "as is" for educational purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Space and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the program. A Space is not responsible for outcomes of individual peer interactions; responsibility for student welfare and any required response remains with the supervising school and its staff.
8. Governing policies
Use of A Space is governed by the policies of the participating school and district, including their student-conduct and data-privacy agreements, together with applicable law.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to your school's A Space advisor or to support@aspacecert.org.
